What we offer
Kid's Creative Academy Inc. ("KCA") is a home tutoring and creative learning company based in Stittsville, Ottawa. We work with children one-to-one and in small groups, in your home or online, and we run seasonal workshops and camps.

We teach in English. Children outside these age ranges, or with specific learning needs, are welcome to enquire; we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
How sessions are delivered
- One-to-one is our default. Every child is different and gets a plan of their own.
- Small groups of 2 to 6 children are available for enrichment classes and camps, and for siblings or friends who want to learn together.
- In-home sessions take place at your residence with a parent or authorised adult present throughout.
- Online sessions use Google Meet or Zoom. The joining link is in your booking and reminder email.
- Venue-based camps, when offered, state the venue, dates and drop-off and pick-up rules in the camp listing.
Session formats and pricing

All prices are in Canadian dollars. The price and any applicable tax are shown on the platform before you confirm. In-home sessions may carry a travel charge outside our core service area (Section 5).
Service area
In-home sessions are offered in Stittsville, Kanata and the west end of Ottawa. Addresses elsewhere in the City of Ottawa may be accepted with a travel charge agreed before booking. Online sessions are available anywhere; times are shown in your own time zone on the platform.
Booking and scheduling
- Book on the platform after signing in with Google, or message us and we will book for you.
- You choose from the tutor's published availability. Sessions can be booked up to 8 weeks ahead and, for in-home sessions, at least 48 hours ahead so travel can be planned.
- Recurring weekly slots can be reserved for a package so the same time is held for your child.
- You receive a confirmation email when you book and a reminder before each session.
- Contact hours are Monday to Friday 10:00 to 17:00 and weekends 10:00 to 14:00, Eastern Time. Sessions themselves may be scheduled outside these hours where a tutor is available.
Cancellations and make-ups

| We cancel (tutor ill, severe weather, our technical problem) | Your choice of a make-up session or a refund for that session. |
| You cancel a package or camp 7 or more days before it starts | Full refund. |
| You cancel a package or camp later than that | Unattended sessions are not refunded, unless we agree an exception in writing. |
Weather. When Ottawa schools close for weather, in-home sessions that day are moved online or rescheduled at no charge.
Payment
- Single sessions are paid when booked. Packages, workshops and camps are paid in full before the first session.
- We accept card payments through our payment processor and Interac e-Transfer. Card details are never stored by KCA.
- A receipt is emailed for every payment and is available in your account.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days.
In your home
Home sessions work best when everyone knows what to expect.
- An adult stays home. A parent, guardian or adult you have authorised must be present for the whole session. Tutors do not babysit and will not stay if no adult is home.
- A learning spot. A table, two chairs, good light and few distractions. Please keep pets out of the teaching area unless the tutor is happy otherwise.
- Materials. The tutor brings lesson materials. For crafts and drawing we send a short list of basic supplies beforehand.
- Health. If anyone in the household has a contagious illness, let us know and we will move the session online or reschedule.
- Ending early. A tutor may end a session early if the environment feels unsafe or the tutor is treated with hostility. We will always explain why.
Online sessions
- You need a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone, a stable connection, and a quiet space. A phone screen is too small for most activities.
- For children under 12 we ask that a parent is nearby and that the child joins from a shared family space.
- Please join a couple of minutes early. Sessions end at the scheduled time.
- We do not record sessions unless you ask and we agree in writing. Please do not record or share sessions yourself.
Our tutors
Sessions are currently taught by our founder, Sampurna D. Paul, who holds a double master's degree in Communication and Design and has taught children aged 6 to 12 across school systems in India, Sweden and Canada. Every tutor who joins KCA meets the same standard before working with children:
- a police record check with vulnerable-sector screening, reviewed by us and renewed every 3 years;
- verified qualifications and at least two references;
- an interview and a supervised trial session;
- a signed confidentiality and child-safety agreement;
- all contact with families through the platform or KCA channels, never through personal social media or messaging.
Progress and communication
- After each session the tutor adds a short progress note that you can read in your account.
- We aim for a brief check-in with you every four to six sessions to review goals.
- Questions and concerns go to our contact email or phone (Section 15). We reply within two business days, and the same day for anything involving safety.
What we are not
- We are not a school. We do not award credits, report cards or certificates recognised by a school board, and we do not replace classroom instruction.
- We are not a daycare or childcare service. Our tutors teach; they do not supervise children outside the booked session.
- We do not provide psychological, medical, speech, occupational or other therapy, or formal assessments of learning disabilities. If we notice something you may want to explore with a professional, we will tell you.
- We do not guarantee grades or results. We do promise honest feedback and sessions prepared for your child.
As we grow
KCA is built to scale from a single tutor to a team. As we add tutors, group programmes, new subjects, venues or partner schools, this page and the catalogue will be updated, and the policies here apply to every tutor and programme in the same way. Families are told about changes that affect them by email before they take effect.
